  • Tailem Town

Tailem Town Investigation Paranormal Ghost and Investigation Tour

Date: Most Saturdays

Time: TBA

Location: Tailem Town, Princes Highway, Tailem Bend, SA

Price: $77.00

These tours are slightly different from your run of the mill ghost tours as YOU get to try your hand at a bit of ghost-hunting! Come and hang back after your tour with guides, some of who have also been in or are still in the paranormal research field. Let them tell you of their own experiences as well as reported experiences of others. Listen to stories of strange shadows and unusual photographs taken by the public. Hear about some of the characters that once resided in these very buildings before their death and before the buildings were transported to the township plank by plank. Once the two hour tour finishes, get to experience for yourself just what it is like to sit quietly in reportedly active areas of the township for an hour or two. Over 110 buildings to choose from!  This is a great opportunity for the paranormal enthusiast, whether a beginner or an experienced investigator, to be able to get access to Tailem Town for a short time under supervised conditions.
Other nights by request for private bookings.

  • National Railway Museum

National Railway Museum

Dates: Contact Adelaide's Haunted Horizons for more information on available datea
Times: 9:30pm to 11:00pm
Price: $33 Age 15+ (if younger, please contact Haunted Horizons first). Tours most Fri nights (other nights available for group bookings). Please check for dates before booking your tour.

The National Railway Museum was originally part of the Port Adelaide Station or Port Dock Railway Station as it was known back in its early days.  Where the museum now sits was the good sheds and work area of the Station.  The Station itself stood close, where the police headquarters are now located.  The Port Dock was opened in 1856 and operated until 1981.  It was the original line in South Australia.
The museum, originally at Mile End, was relocated to Port Adelaide and opened in 2001.  It now holds an impressive collection of locomotives, carriages and the 19th Century original Goods Shed

Join us on a hunt for the Port Adelaide National Railway Museum ghosts!  The night includes a tour around the museum, learning about its ghostly tales and it's deaths, including the sad tale of a 16 year old boy who befell a terrible accident. After tea/coffee, break into teams and, with equipment,, explore the darkest recesses of this museum in the search of paranormal activity. These tours are normally double tours with the Port Dock Hotel.

Why would a train museum be haunted and why would we want to go there?  Well how about these five reasons for starters:

  • A dark shadowy figure seen regularly at the Museum

  • At least 21 reported deaths at the station and goods yard.

  • Investigate the train involved in Australia's first terrorism act.

  • The area that drops in temperature and feels decidedly unfriendly.

  • Objects moving and phones that ring when not plugged in.

We also run regular ghost tours through the museum.  Thse are 90 mins and are $33.

  • Tea Tree Gully

Highercombe Hotel Paranormal Lockin

Get locked in for the night and investigate the Old Highercombe Hotel!

Be guided around at night inside this spooky Old Hotel furnished exactly as it would have been at the turn of the century…

Built in 1853-54, the building was operated as a hotel for twenty-four years. During that time the largest room was used for a variety of public functions including council meetings, lodge meetings and dances.

In 1855 ‘qualified voters of the District of Yatala’ petitioned the Governor of South Australia to name the Highercombe Hotel as a polling place for the forthcoming elections stating that: ‘It is a more central place than Houghton village, being in the midst of a much larger population and having very superior accommodation for the transaction of public business.’ The petition was granted.

In 1875 the main road was re-routed past the front door of the nearby Tea Tree Gully Inn, which then became the major stopping place for coaches and change of horses. At that time the community could not support two public houses, so the Highercombe Hotel closed in 1878. William Haines Jnr was the last of five licensees.

Ghost Crime Tours will provide you with all the equipment you will need including EMF detectors, voice recording equipment and we will make sure that there are experienced investigators there to guide you along this unique experience. Paranormal groups with their own equipment are more than welcome to book. Places are strictly limited so don’t wait and book your spot on the next Lock in today!
